Ok, so this is my FIRST digital piece EVER.... I was trying desperately to just get one straight line this morning - only intended to be a bit of practice, but damn, that turned out nice.

So question: are these biodrones just servants and warriors, obedient to who ever created them? or dp they possess some kind of sentient intelligence?

Excellent Work!

Basically, they serve a function similar to ai constructs from Halo. How it works is this: A certain part of the human brain, refered to as an anchor, was found to be what retains a soul. [Essentially, organisms are just shells that grow and play host to actual life existing on the other side of reality.] The Ascension scientists synthesize an anchor and grow it inside a chemical nanocomputer. Then they are raised by specially trained individuals, and given all the freedoms of a typical human, except that their career path is typically fixed in the military. In combat, the nanocomputer chip is typically carried inside another soldier's suit to function as an intelligence tool and a top-grade hacker. Outside combat, all who are interested receive their own fully functioning semibiological bodies, within which they can lead a perfectly normal life. In most cases, they have potential to be far more sentient than typical humans, and their only truly mechanical processes are in the way they store, use and manage programs and files - a databank well displaced from their biological brain and semibiological secondary processors.

Wow... I have actually done Role Plays in the far past that had a similar concept of a trained soldier being paired to a AI that was placed into a robot (actually, I doing a RP like that right now XD)

That is some cool stuff ^^ awesome job with the fiction!
